Most customers already have a van or self-build project underway and need help completing the carpentry or interior fit-out. Every project is different, so these seven stages flex to suit the condition of your van and what you have already done.
-
01Stage one
Contact
You get in touch because you have a van or self-build project underway and need help moving it forward. You may have run out of time, tools, confidence, skills, or simply want the carpentry finished properly.
-
02Stage two
Discussion
You share photos and videos of your van, along with a rough drawing and a list of what you would like doing. This helps me understand the space, the stage your project is at, and what needs to be built.
-
03Stage three
Estimate
Based on the photos, videos, drawings and details supplied, I provide an estimated cost and timescale for the work. This gives you a clear idea of what is involved before the project moves forward.
-
04Stage four
Preparation for interior
Before interior carpentry commences, windows, skylights, insulation and wiring are carried out. This preparation stage is typically completed by the customer or other professionals, but I can offer advice on this if required.
-
05Stage five
Battening, pillars & lining preparation
Walls and ceilings are battened out in preparation for furniture fixing points. Door pillars are clad with carpet before the ceiling and walls are lined with either ply or wood cladding, leaving a blank canvas. Doors are also covered at this stage.
-
06Stage six
Cabinetry
This is the main carpentry stage. Using quality ply, real birch timber and spruce, the interior pieces are hand-cut, joined, treated and installed. This can include kitchen units, bed frames, storage, wardrobes, cupboards and other custom woodwork built around your van and your requirements.

07Stage seven · Handover
Final fit out
The final fit-out can include items such as the hob, sink, fridge, door handles and catches. Once the carpentry and fitting work is complete, the van can be handed back to you for upholstery, staining and painting. A separate painting service can be included if required.
